Former Spanish international Andres Iniesta has completed the takeover of Danish third-division side Helsingor.

Iniesta announced his retirement in October, ending a 22-year career that saw him enjoy immense success at both club and international level.
The former Spain international has been playing professionally since 2002, winning nine La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions Leagues. While also being part of a golden era for the Spanish national team that won two consecutive European Championships and a World Cup in 2010. Where he scored the winning goal in a 1-0 extra-time victory over the Netherlands in the final.
He recently started his post-football career by buying a majority stake in FC Helsingor through his company and joining hands with Swiss company Stoneweg.
FC Helsingor were relegated from Division 2 as the bottom team to Division 3 this season. Where they currently sit 7th in the table, 13 points behind the leaders.
The 40-year-old legend explained his new ambitions: “We started working with FC Helsingør because it is an exciting club with great facilities, great people and a city with the potential to become an important part of Danish football.”
“Football is something we love, and what they ยูฟ่าเบท show us is very positive. I still believe that I can become part of the club and try to bring all the experiences from our different places to develop and improve the club.”
