Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has pointed out that their win over Manchester City on Sunday is not yet deciding the Premier League title
, with Klopp’s side behind Manchester City. Just one point before a trip to the Etihad Stadium, where their form is excellent, winning nine games in a row in the league.
Even so, the German coach doesn’t think the game will be a decisive match. The outcome was crucial, though:
“If we beat City which is already difficult enough, I don’t think anyone would think ‘that’s it, the championship is settled’ because of the quality of the opponents,” said Klopp. P said
W now we will face the best team in the world. But anyway we’ll give it a try.”
“Everyone knows how important it is for the next game. But after that game there will be games in other competitions including in the Premier League.”
“If you can’t finish first, you want to be second. If you’re behind you want to get close to the hijacker, if you’re behind sharply you want to overtake. That’s the situation and we’ll give it a try.”
After Sunday’s game, the two clubs have seven Premier League games left to play. FA Cup on April 16 as well,
they are all still on the path to the Champions League. And if paved the way through, there will be a chance to meet in the final again.
